Growing on Each Other

Well this is week 2 with Kelsey and of course we absolutely adore her. She is a sweet and good baby. She has really seemed to 'grow on' Carter too. He is very tender towards her. (Now don't get me wrong - there is still countless times in the day when he walks in a room, sees me holding Kelsey, frantically looks around for another adult - usually Gramie - and says "mommy, gramie hold Kelsey . . . ME hold you!" And if I don't hold him within the next few minutes, we see a toddler squirming and whining on the floor. For those of you who have 2 year olds, you know this drill well I'm sure. I must admit I am still quite intimidated at handling it all on my own, when I don't have another adult to hand Kelsey off to.) All in all, we are adjusting well.

Family bonds are not the only things that have been 'growing' in our house the past week. Phill decided to take time off of work AND shaving. These are some pictures of his masterpiece. I still don't quite get the immense pride that guys take in how quickly and plentiful they can grow hair on their face.

Kelsey loved being on her tummy during her sponge baths.

Shannon,

She really is SO precious! Carter looks so sweet with her. I'm sure that as time goes on, it will get easier to adjust, and Carter will be extra protective of his baby sister.

I'm so happy for ya'll! I still can't wait to meet my little angel :)

A 2 year old lying on the floor and crying? I have NO IDEA what you're talking about. no...wait. that's what's going on right now at my house as I type this comment. :) If you hear of any toddler exorcists out there, let me know!
